Trinity’s journey began in 2011 with the opening of a specialist college, followed by the creation of a day service in 2016. The next step of our journey is Trinity House, a small family feeling short stay respite home, which will provide service users with the experience of living away from home for short periods and provide families and carers with a break from caring. The services provided by Trinity have been led by the needs of the families and young people we support, through coproduction.

Trinity House

Trinity House is a short stay respite home with a warm homely feel; the building is 4-bedroom detached house in the small village Kingsbury on the outskirts of Tamworth which benefits from being close to local services and amenities, providing the perfect location for community-based activities close to Kingsbury Leisure Centre, Kingsbury Community Centre, and Kingsbury water park.

Person-centered approach

Trinity House is a short stay overnight respite home with specialist trained staff for adults with learning disabilities, behaviours of concern and/or Autism aged 18-45.
We recognise the individual need for personal fulfilment is at the heart of the service, taking a person-centered approach working with the individual, family members, carers, and other professionals to create a holistic, personal support package. Using that information, we create individualised programs of meaningful activities, providing opportunities to develop essential skills for a more independent life.

Supported to go further
Service users are supported to take part in a variety of life skills, leisure, community, and social activities, helping them to develop meaningful relationships with others and to lead a healthy lifestyle. Within an environment that enables them to be as independent as possible, whilst remaining safe and secure.
Trusted Specialists
As specialists we know that sometimes our service users become overwhelmed and display challenging behaviours. All staff members receive positive behaviour support and crisis intervention training on induction and are supported by our trained positive behaviour support team who carry out functional behaviour assessments and work with our services users to create positive support plans and self-regulation.
